The Jerusalem Harp Bridge (Gesher Hametarim) is a cantilever spar cable-stayed bridge at the entrance to jerusalem in it's final stages of construction, as seen in a aerial photograph. The tower will have cable supports from it to the curving bridge below making it appear to look like a harp. It is the design of award winning Spanish Architect Santiago Calatrava. The view is looking north past the suburbs of Ramot (L) and some of the controversial 'separation' wall can be seen near A-Ram, south of Ramallah. Photo by Yossi Zamir/Flash90

An aerial view of the Old City of Jerusalem on 21 January 2008 shows the Western Wall area, below the Temple Mount with the distinctive golden Dome of the Rock, seveal of the holiest sites in both the Moslem and Jewish religions. The temporary wooden bridge linking the Morgrabi Gate into the Temple Mount to the Jewish Quarter, for tourists to access the Temple Mount, is in center, with the archaeological 'dig' against the Western Wall.
